Beijing fashion designer Wang Yutao couldn't ignore the siren call of the European runway this year. His 7-year-old label, Beautyberry, earned accolades at China Fashion Week in Beijing in October. Last Thursday, he became the first designer from mainland China to show at Berlin Fashion Week.
"This is the best way to let the world know the current status of Chinese designers and give people a new perspective on Chinese fashion," Mr. Wang said in an interview last week.
